What critics thought

Brad Bird's Tomorrowland split critics sharply between those who found its earnest optimism and visual invention genuinely winning and those who felt the storytelling collapsed under the weight of its own ambitions. Nearly everyone agreed the film looks spectacular and carries real passion behind it — the argument was whether that passion translates or simply overwhelms, with many reviewers loving individual scenes while finding the whole incoherent, and others taking issue with a third act they found preachy, underwhelming, or both.
