One of Pixar's most celebrated films, Up won over nearly every critic with its opening marriage montage — a wordless sequence that drew comparisons to Chaplin and became the film's defining talking point. The main adventure that follows struck most as inventive and emotionally generous, though a handful of dissenters found the middle section frenetic and the Carl-Ellie relationship more sentimental than genuinely felt.
