What critics thought
Eternals landed as the MCU's most divisive entry to date, with critics largely split between admiring Chloé Zhao's genuine ambition and lamenting how little of her distinctive voice survived the franchise machinery. Visuals, performances, and a willingness to let superheroes sit with doubt drew some real praise, while the overstuffed narrative, expository dialogue, and lack of Marvel's usual wit drew equally firm condemnation.
