Charlie Croker pulled off the crime of a lifetime. The one thing that he didn't plan on was being double-crossed. What critics thought
A breezy, generally well-liked heist film that most critics found competent and entertaining without demanding much from the audience — the Mini Cooper chase sequences drew near-universal enthusiasm, but the Los Angeles finale divided opinion over whether its cleverness tipped into absurdity. A handful of dissenters found the whole enterprise lazy and derivative, arguing that remaking an already thin 1969 film produced nothing worth the effort.
