One of 2008's most critically dismissed blockbusters, Jumper was savaged for hollow characters, an incoherent plot, and squandered potential in its premise. The rare defenders found some kinetic, well-edited action in its brief runtime, but even they acknowledged it as Doug Liman's weakest effort — a foundation without a building on top of it.
