Thelma & Louise

Taking a break from their dreary lives, close friends Thelma and Louise embark on a short weekend trip that ends in unforeseen incriminating circumstances. As fugitives, both women rediscover the strength of their bond and their newfound resilience.

Ridley Scott's road movie earned near-universal admiration for the chemistry between Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon and for Callie Khouri's debut screenplay, which critics felt genuinely reinvented the buddy-film genre with female protagonists.
